Terms & Conditions of Entry

All guests at Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary must abide by these Terms & Conditions, as well as those communicated by Sanctuary signage and by Sanctuary staff, including volunteers. You are a guest, if you are on Sanctuary property, for any reason whatsoever, and you are not a rostered member of staff or a rostered volunteer of the Sanctuary.

Risks & Liability

Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is a natural bush environment in the Adelaide Hills. This environment has inherent dangers including, but not limited to, steep, rugged, slippery, and uneven terrain. It is heavily wooded, which brings with it the possibility of tree and branch fall. There are free-roaming, wild animals, including venomous snakes.

Guests under the age of 18 must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. It is an express condition of your entry to the Sanctuary, and your participation in activities conducted by Warrawong, that you hereby, for yourself, your heirs, executors, assigns, and next-of-kin, release, waive, and discharge Warrawong Sanctuary and its officers, directors, agents, employees, and volunteers, of and from all liability, claims, or demands for all injuries, losses, damages, of any kind or nature, to your person or property, or to that of any minor under your supervision, while on Warrawong property.

Tickets & Refunds

Tickets are only valid for the date, or validity period, appearing on the ticket.
All tickets, except annual passes, are for single use only.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred, redeemed, exchanged, or otherwise converted.
Once purchased, tickets are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets cannot be replaced.
Warrawong reserves the right to request proof of age, identity, and eligibility from ticket and pass bearers.

Entry & Access

Guests must:
• enter the Sanctuary via a public entrance, or by prior written arrangement, through a service entrance.
• pay the entrance fee applicable.
• not enter or remain on Warrawong property outside of public opening hours, unless by prior written arrangement.
• not enter any non-public area, unless by prior written arrangement.

Supervising Children

Children under 18 years of age must be responsibly supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
An adult is deemed to be any person aged 18 years or older.

Guest Clothing

While on Warrawong property, guests must dress in a manner appropriate for a family venue and bush environment. Attire must include shoes and a shirt.

Behaviour Affecting Animals
Guests must not:
• use any audio equipment or musical instrument at a volume likely to disturb any animal. Warrawong reserves the right to determine this volume.
• touch or interfere with any animal, unless under the direction and supervision of Warrawong staff.
• feed any animal, unless under the direction and supervision of Warrawong staff.
• allow any part of their body or any object in their possession to reach inside an animal enclosure.
• throw any object while on Sanctuary property.

Behaviour Affecting People

While on Warrawong property, guests must:
• behave in a manner that is unlikely to cause offence or disruption to other guests. Warrawong reserves the right to determine this behaviour.
• not interfere with any vegetation, unless under the direction and supervision of Warrawong staff.
• not remove or disturb any rock, stone, sand, or similar substance, without the express permission of a Warrawong staff member.
• not throw any object, climb on, damage, or deface any structure or sign, or light any fire, or litter.

Smoking

Warrawong Sanctuary is a smoke free site. Smoking is completely prohibited on the property, which includes the carpark.

Commercial Activity

Guests must not conduct any commercial activity on Warrawong property. This includes the capturing, recording, or otherwise taking of any material, unless expressly permitted in writing by Warrawong.

Video & Photography

While in the park visitors may be filmed or photographed for social media and promotional purposes. If they do not wish to have their image captured, visitors must notify the photographer/videographer directly.

Guests’ Own Animals

To protect the inhabitants of the Sanctuary, Warrawong is a permanent quarantine site.
Guests must not bring any animal into the Sanctuary.
Guests must not leave an animal in their car or tethered in the carpark.

Rescued Wildlife

Warrawong Sanctuary is not capable of accepting rescued animals. Rescued wildlife should be taken to the closest vet or handed to Fauna Rescue.

Alcohol & Other Substances

Guests must not bring alcohol onto Warrawong property, unless expressly permitted in writing by Sanctuary management.
Guests must not bring any illegal substance onto Warrawong property.
If a Warrawong staff member, in their sole discretion, believes a guest may be under the influence of alcohol, or any other substance, that guest may be required to leave the Sanctuary immediately. Warrawong will not be responsible for any costs associated with this departure, and no refund will be given to the guest, or any accompanying party.

Prohibited Toys & Other Items

Guests must not bring onto Warrawong property any animal costume, ball, balloon, bicycle, scooter, skateboard, skates, or similar apparatus.
Guests should take all care not to bring on to Warrawong property, and leave at the same, any plastic or non-biodegradable substance.

Park Closure

Warrawong Sanctuary may close some or all of the property, at any time, and for any reason, at the sole discretion of management. Reasons may include, but not be limited to, adverse weather conditions, equipment failure, maintenance and construction, or in the interests of safety of animals or people. Warrawong will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by a guest as the result of such full or partial closure.

Catastrophic Fire Days & Bad Weather

Warrawong Sanctuary will close on catastrophic fire days. At the sole discretion of management, the Sanctuary may also close on any other days that pose significant risks to guests. Such days may include, but not be limited to, present or predicted inclement weather conditions.

Damage by Guest

Any guest who causes damage to Warrawong Sanctuary may be required to make good such damage.
Warrawong Sanctuary reserves all legal rights to pursue an action against any party deemed to have caused damage to the Sanctuary.

Failure to Comply with Terms & Conditions of Entry

Any guest who does not comply with the Terms & Conditions of Warrawong Sanctuary may be required to leave the property.
At the sole discretion of management, Warrawong Sanctuary reserves all legal rights to pursue an action against any party deemed to have breached Terms & Conditions.
