One Night Stand

Wednesday 1st of February 2017

We did plan for our first night of the trip to be camping at Two People’s Bay, to the east of Albany. However, when we arrived, we couldn’t find a spot. That was a bit of a surprise, but I guess, even at this time of year, Albany and surrounds is very popular. We decided to keep heading east and try Normans Beach. That was full too. As it was starting to get late, we needed a solution. None of us fancied putting up the camper trailer in the dark. So, we headed off to Cheynes Beach Caravan Park. By the time we arrived it was dark and the Park was closed. Fortunately for us, the owners were kind enough to let us in. Now all we needed to do was get set up. Not ideal conditions for our first attempt at team camping, but we did it. It’s a lot of effort for a one night stand. Hopefully things will be easier at Alexander Bay, where we plan to stay for a few days.

405 kilometres travelled. 3167 to go.

  1. Third time lucky, how great that the Owners let you in even though the park was closed. Old time service, what I expect we will see back at Warrawong!
